Dalian Jinzhong has successfully secured a bulk order for hydrogen storage tanks overseas.
Recently, Dalian Jinzhong successfully secured a bulk order for six hydrogen storage tanks for Kazakhstan’s Silleno polyolefin and auxiliary facilities project. This project is a flagship initiative in China–Kazakhstan cooperation on energy and chemical industries under the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a significant breakthrough for Dalian Jinzhong in the overseas high-end pressure vessel market. It holds important demonstrative value for Dalian Jinzhong as it further cultivates and expands into international markets and enhances its brand influence within the Belt and Road region.
The technical inspection requirements for this hydrogen storage tank project are extremely stringent. Each unit weighs 273 tons and features an internal diameter of 4,200 mm, with wall thicknesses of 110/60 mm and a tangent distance of 18,000 mm. The main body is fabricated from SA‑516 Gr.70 steel. The equipment must simultaneously meet both ASME and CUTR (EAC) certifications, making it a truly “high‑difficulty challenge” in the pressure vessel manufacturing sector. The ASME standard emphasizes design accuracy and long-term safety, imposing exceptionally rigorous requirements on material toughness, welding procedures, and nondestructive testing; even the weld‑joint acceptance criteria alone encompass more than ten detailed sub‑criteria. Meanwhile, CUTR certification focuses on regional compliance, requiring adaptation to the specific requirements of Customs Union member states such as Kazakhstan, including low‑temperature environmental testing and local labeling regulations.
Dalian Jinzhong steadfastly implements an internationalization strategy, adhering to a combination of “leveraging external platforms” and “going global with its own capabilities,” while systematically enhancing its international operational capacity. It continuously shifts from relying on internal resources for self‑driven growth to embracing open development through the integration of industry resources, striving to provide high‑level, high‑value‑added products and services to international premium clients, and working vigorously to become a world‑class full‑lifecycle service provider for petrochemical equipment.
